There are several highly requested features added in this version:
- Cereus Network support. PT3 now supports the Cereus Network and all old Absolute Poker hands. Preferred seating is supported, but needs to be manually configured in the Cereus Network auto-import configuration options. Be aware that Cereus Network support has only had a little bit of alpha testing, so it's very likely that there are some issues remaining.
- Hud "Mark Hand for Review." Playing 24 tables and just finished a hand you want to review later? Now you can quickly and easily mark that hand for review. Simply click the PT icon on the table, go to the "Mark Hand for Review" option and choose the hand. Was the hand a couple hands back? PT3 will give you the option of the last five hands to mark. What this option does is to add a note to the hand labeled "Marked for review". Now when you go to the Sessions tab in PT3, the hands that are marked can easily be identified in the list by the Notes icon visible next to the hand information.
- Hud "Player Notes." Now it's easy to add and review notes that you add in PT3. In the Hud Stats Configuration, under the Stats -> Special tab, there is a new item labeled "Note Editor". Simply add this to your player group and on the Hud, PT3 will display a Notes icon. If the player has notes, the icon will be yellow. Simply hover it to show the player notes in a tooltip. If you wish to edit the notes, simply click on the icon.
- Hud "Last X Hands" filter. This filter has been highly requested. It was avoided mainly for one reason: The incompatibility with the cache. If you decide to use this filter, you unfortunately will not be able to use the cache with it. This may or may not cause performance problems for you.
Also in this release a memory leak was fixed. This leak was in a location of code that is touched by nearly every aspect of the application. It was responsible for the astronomic memory use that PT3 would occasionally suffer from (especially with OnGame imports). It was also a potential cause of mysterious unexplainable crashes. It's possible that if you were experiencing random crashes before that you may not with this version.
To give you a general idea of the immediate plans for PT3, the next beta release will contain few, if any, new features and a large number of bug fixes. We want to take care of a lot of the outstanding problems some people are having and release a stable build for those of you who don't like using beta versions. Once the stable version is released, we plan on starting the new year off with a lot more new sites supported as well as exciting new features, some of which are listed in our Development Timeline. We are still interviewing for the development position(s), so if you are interested, send us your information.
