How do I configure emailimport? I get a message saying configure pop 3 email server and i am clueless.

Also stars sent me my trny summaries first as a firefox weblink with all the info and I couldnt find any way to get that info in PT3, now they sent it in excel format, will that work?

I just want to get my trny summaries from stars into PT3 since I have the HH already but not the winresults.

Hi Im trying to import my trny summaries from stars and I received one email with all the summaries as a link to a webpage, i copied the info in both .txt format and in wordpad to a .rtf format and manually imported them after but PT3 says right away unrecognized file format.
What formats are ok to use?

You will need to get your POP3 information from your service provider.

To import the summaries as files, you need to copy and paste the information into plain text files; make sure that everything is laid out correctly on separate lines.
We find that wordpad works best for most people but you need to save it as plain text not rtf.
The excel files cannot be imported.
If you still can't get the summary to import when you've saved it as text, attach your file to a ticket on the Support system and someone will check it out for you.

So if I use hotmail is that my provider or is it the ppl i buy my internet coinnnection you are referring to?

I tried now to save them as .txt but it keeps saying unrecognized file format.
Ill attach my file for you to have a look at.

For the future maybe getting a gmail account only for use for trny summaries will do the trick in combination with a pop3 configuration?

I don't think hotmail uses POP3, but certainly people have it working with GMail.

Hi again ive now registered a gmail account but i have no idea how to configure a pop3 server or what to put in the box that pops up in PT3 when trying to configure the email imports.

The biggest problem I have and the reason im even asking about this, is the fact that requesting the trny history from stars does not work, since i ask for 275+ trnys, and i guess they arent accepted in the emailaccount due to the size of the email.
I know this because it works when i ask for say 3 trnys right away, but not when i ask for all of them at once.

Therefore the PS support manually send me the history in various strange formats such as excel and htm, which in turn after i save them or copy paste them into wordpad still is a unrecognized format....and therefore im REALLY frustrated!!!! :)

I keep getting more questions, under "requests" on stars i can request tournament history, is that equivalent to tournament summary? Because they sent me trny summaries manually and that was more like a excel spreadsheet with rows and columns, the trny histories ive gotten under requests are just the prizepool distribution with all players place and winnings.
Which one do I use in PT3 to update trny winnings for me..and how? (i already have all HHs)

Tournament history is the same as tournament summary (although Stars may mean different things by them - history could be all your summaries..).
I think the most summaries you can request at once is 200 (to get them in the correct format).

I'm afraid I don't know much about gmail, but I'm sure if you search their website you will be able to find out how to set up your pop3 settings.

Here's a link to help you set up GMail's POP3 Settings.

I can't tell if I am configured correctly when I try to manually import from Stars or not. I changed my setting and when I ran TEST it said 'Successfully connected to POP3 server". But when I click on the Import from Email button I get a Downloading window Import Emails that shows Downloaded 0 of 0 forever. It doesn't look like it reading anything the status doesn't change or anything. Does the email import take a very long time? Should I put the tournament summaries in something separate from my other incoming emails? Should I have the email open or closed? Really confused here :(

Oh I use regular Microsoft Outlook express.
