Please don't make a fix for rush poker

Huds will be the death of these games. The fun of this game is the fact that nobody can get solid reads on you no matter how long they play. If HUDs begin to work it will kill the fun in the game for a lot of people.

While I understand your thinking, I expect that our competitors will be adding support as soon as it is feasible for them to do so. We do not want to leave our users at a disadvantage (indeed, we want to leave our users with the advantage), so we will be adding Rush support. I don't know exactly when but I know it's being worked on.

I don't know why people think that HUD's ruin games. My money is on less than 2.5 people on average per 6-max table have a hud.

Only because you probably a statbot and incapable of playing without concrete stats.

They don't ruin normal games. But Rush games are great without a HUD because even people that play with you at regular tables are unable to get reads on you. Everybody has adjusted their games when playing rush, some playing super tight, some playing hyper aggro. Without a HUD it will be hard for people to figure out which style you're playing. For example when I play regular 6max games I play something like 22/18 with a 7% 3bet. When I play Rush I play 37/33/3. I think, and many others think Rush is so much better without HUDs.

Another thing isn't any fix that will allow Rush tables to be read immediately violate the FTP no datamining policy? Considering if there is a fix made the info would be taken directly off the table as opposed to waiting for a text file, so in affect allowing us to get HHs from all tables without playing?

My question - what is 22/18 ? I think the 22% is VP$IP, however, what is the 18 ?

My [unofficial] view is that this isn't really the place for this sort of disucssion - if you're using a tracking/HUD application for one type of game then it doesn't really make sense to say that you don't want it to be used for another type of game...

That isn't right - the hands will still be imported from the hand history files written after the hands complete - to get the HUD to work all we would need to do if find out who is at the new table you are moved to, which wouldn't break any terms.

Here the 18 is PFR (PreFlop Raise percentage). When people quote a pair of stats like it is always VP$IP/PFR - that is the "standard" way of defining players.

Why do you want to turn this into some type stupid internet flame war.

The reason I disagree is because I like to play poker the way it was meant to be, live. But my chances in my area are very slim so therefore I play on the net. So to keep the game as close to the game that is was meant to be, I like to use stats to remember people. If this type is play (Rush Poker) was possible live I would still be able to recognize peoples face at every table and remember their play style. With the speed at the Rush is played that is all the stats would be for would be to help recognize a player. I don't play poker to gamble I play poker to win. And as kraada said if PT doesn't do it someone else will. Rather it be the software I paid for.
