Converting PT2 to PT3?

I just installed PT3 and want all my PT2 info on it. Under the "Database" tab I see a tab that says "convert" and "convert PokerTracker2 database". When I select this I get a "no PokerTraker 2 database found". Not sure if this is where I want to start. Thank you.

The conversion utility will only work if your PT2 database was a PostgreSQL database. It sounds like your database(s) were Access.

The quickest and easiest method to convert using an Access database is to export your hand histories to file via PokerTracker 2 then to manually import all of these hand histories into PokerTracker 3. It should go fairly quickly since PT3's import speed is very fast.

In PokerTracker 2 go Utilities->Export Hand Histories to File. Select the maximum amount of hands per file then proceed. In PT3, under Import->Manual Import, click the 'Import from Directory' then browse to and select the directory where you exported the PT2 hands.

Best regards,

Derek

When I tried that I got this:

2008/04/21 04:50:01: Import file: C:\Documents and Settings\Unknown User\Desktop\handgrabber files\100NL\bdg NL ($1) 999036099 to 1000340556.txt

2008/04/21 04:50:01: Unrecognized file format.

2008/04/21 04:50:01: Import complete. 0 hands in 204 files were imported. (0 errors, 0 duplicates)

3linesfor for every file. Under Import Statistics Files Imported: 204 of 204, Hands Imported: 0.

My database is SQL but the Database Convert -> function didn't work.
Please advise.

Forgot to ask. Could my notepad settings be off? I am aware that "If you are saving your hands using Notepad you must make sure that you turn wrapping off. You do this by going to "Format" menu option and making sure that the "Word Wrap" option DOES NOT have a check beside it." This is done but could my other font settings lead to the Unrecognized file format message?

The FAQ says that: "Poker Tracker CANNOT read files unless they are plain text (not UNICODE text or some other format like MS Word."

I donated blood today... uh.. I now understand that PT3 DOES NOT currently support Bodog.
