Importing PT2 database in PT3

Hey guys

I recently bought PT3 for Mac OS. I have an old PT2 database (2007-2008) and want to import it to have a better overview. I don't know if I have a PostgreSQL or Access database. I have found two big files though, hhdb.mdb and ptrack.mdb. I have found no Processed folder but maybe it’s in a different place. Where can I see if processed files were stored and where they were stored? Also what's my line for either database type? If I find processed files I can simply re-import them is that right?

Thanks for you help!

Just realized the database name is access(PostgreSQL). So i guess it’s a PostgreSQL database.

Yes, it's PostgreSQL and reimporting the hands will work regardless as the PT3 database is extremely different than the PT2 database in terms of table structure - so the hands would need to be reimported regardless of what type of database it was.

So if i don't find the actual hand histories I cannot import them into PT3?

You'll need to convert the PT2 databases into PostgreSQL before PT3 can extract them. If you can get them converted into any kind of PostgreSQL installation using PT2, then PT3 should be able to grab the hands out of that database via the Database --> Convert option.

I exported the hands from PT2. I got a bunch of .txt files. I should be able to import them in PT3 with Manual Import right?

Make sure that PostgreSQL is running - version 0.0.0 is tends to imply either PostgreSQL is not installed or otherwise won't start. Did you install a new version of PostgreSQL on a different port? What version did you have running properly yesterday?
