Benefits of Solid State Hard Drive

I am reloading all of my hands for 7+ years onto another computer. Just short of 6,000,000 hands. It took a very long time on my PC, which I used for work purposes. It has a AMD Phenom II 1045T six core processor and 16 GB Ram. I broke my install into smaller packets, and my last million hands took 6 days, 11 hours to complete. I got 10.2 hands per second, and then the Vacuum, Analyze and Cache took 5 days. (I also used this computer for my work purposes during this time. I am sure this slowed things down a little, but not too much.)

I then took a bit slower PC that I wasn't using, which has a AMD Quad-Core A6-3600 processor, 16 GB of ram, and installed a new Sata III solid state hard drive. I ran the exact same set of hands, with the same amount of hands in the database, and this time it did 13.5 HPS, but the Vacuum, Analyze and Cache only took 6 hours and 3 minutes. I got similar results from the previous 5 sets of data.

I am posting this because this is what I was looking for before I decided to buy the new SS hard drive. I hope it helps others.
