Personal Help

Postby Vingers » Fri Jul 13, 2012 1:10 pm

Hi,

I have tried so many different things and am getting so frustrated I am ready to smash something!

I just want to organise / personalise my HUD but can't! I can been through all the guides and been reading loads of posts but still can't figure it out. I know I am very technically challenged but surely it shouldn't be too hard.

Is there anyone that I can actually speak to, to help me?

One very frustrated PT3 user!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks

We'll work with you and I"m sure we can help you get things set up exactly how you want. Can you tell me a bit more about what you're trying to do?

Thanks.

I just want to personalise / customise my HUD with the stats and layout I want but can't figure it out. I have read the guides and tried playing around with it but just can't figure it out.

I like the format of the default one but want to take a lot of the stats out and replace with some other ones. I can't really find the stats I want and when I do find them I don't know how to aline them correctly within the popup.

Its specifically the popup I want to amend / customise. Along with not really being able to find the stats I want I don't know how to find positions, for example I want to see how often someone raises the button when folded to them. Is this a stat on its own or do you need to find a raise first stat and the button as a position? On the custom HUD it just lists blinds and not button or SB!

I am sure it will only take five mins and I know I am technically retarded but why you make these things so complicated I don't know. It's honestly so hard / impossible to do anything on PT! Nothing is straight forward.

Anthoer example, I want to mark hands and then review them, can I do that, no! I have followed the instructions and still it doesn't work. Why can't you just mark the hands you want to review and then there be a button that says, review marked hands??? You write an amazing piece of software and then make it so hard to use!

All of this kind of thing has been made much easier with a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) drag and drop Hud editor in PT4, and viewing marked hands is much easier too.

If you're just getting started with PokerTracker you may want to take a look at PT4 instead.
Since you only just bought PT3 you can upgrade to PT4 for free - simply download and install, and then pre-order in the Community page within PT4. You will need to go through the checkout process but will not be charged.

Get the Public Beta here

To answer your specific points (in PT3):

To add a stat to the layout you double click it in the list on the left, and to remove a stat double click it on the right.
PT3 doesn't have Hud position options for individual positions (just EP, MP, LP, blinds) so you can't add Raise First In for the button only (although this is available as a custom stat to download for free from Customize PokerTracker. PT4 has separate positions for SB and BB, and Button and Cutoff, as well as EP and MP options.

Sorry - I just saw in one of your other threads that you are a Mac user. PT4 isn't yet available as a native Mac version (although you can run it if you have a way of running Windows on your Mac).

If you post a screenshot of where you're stuck, or tell us exactly what you're having problems with we'll be able to help you. The guides explain things pretty well but can't cover every single situation. Please give us an example of something specific that you want to do and we'll explain it.
