background panel make invisible or transparent

hi i was wondering if it is possible to make background panel invisible or transparent. thanks

Not in PT3, but PT4 has this functionality.

EDIT: I just noticed in another thread that you are using a Mac. The Mac version of PT4 isn't yet available but we are hoping to have it ready within a few months.
