converting a PT2 database - can go back?

i want to convert a PT2 database to PT3, but if something goes wrong and PT3 turns out to be lame, i want to have the ability to turn them back into PT2. is that possible?

Your PT2 database will stay as it is, it will just copy hands to your PT3 database.
