PT3 imports hands fairly quickly using manual import and then requires caching afterwards. I don't see what's a problem about the import going quickly . . .

actually compared to hm, import takes a lot longer in pt4. i like pt more, but stuff like importing hands and loading reports takes ages :( my new computer will be there soon, maybe i just have poor hardware. i just gonna ask here:

i will have an ssd, heard it's much faster than hdd, but i also will have a 2tb hdd. can i put the processed folder on the hdd or will that make a difference? my database is quite large and i want to save some space on the ssd, but if that affects anything in pt4 in a negative way i will put everything on the ssd.

You'll definitely get better results putting the database on the SSD. You can put the Processed folder wherever you like; those files are not used once they're moved there. The database is located wherever PostgreSQL is installed to.

I have one of the fastest ssd - samsung 840 PRO 256 gb. Hands import very slow for me (90h/s). Can I do something about it?

That's actually reasonably fast. At that point the bottleneck is almost certainly your CPU.
