Help

Postby Goodfella » Mon Jun 16, 2008 2:48 pm

Hi there,

I think I have been one of the lucky ones who haven't had too many problems with the original PT3 released, so I've delayed from downloading any of the new Beta versions until a final one comes out. But all of a sudden now I'm having trouble with Hud and pop-ups. Now I'm unable to click on the player stats on the table and have the pop-up stats come up. Why would this happen when I haven't made any changes to my PT3 whatsoever? Its been working since the May 16th release and now it just stopped working. I went to configure statistics and the group tab and nothing has been changed since it was working.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Thanks

No probs.

Check that the 'show on table' group still has the pop-up group selected (I guess you've done this?).

Did you try restarting auto-import to restart the HUD?
Restart PT3?

If it still doesn't work, Please enable logging, reproduce the problem and submit your PokerTracker.log to the
Support system , and link to this thread.

The two groups I have are 'Player Stats' and 'Default pop-up'. The Player Stats group has 'Show on Table for Everyone' selected and my Default Pop has 'Popup Use Only' selected. I haven't touched any of these groups since I started using PT3. So I'm not sure if I accidentally messed it up.

The 'Player Stats' group should also have the PopUp field set to "Default Pop-up" so that it knows which pop up to show when you click on it.

Actually sorry there's one more thing regarding this issue. Whenever I configure the stats and press apply, it works on that table only. I have to go to each
table individually in order to get the pop-ups in all my tables. Also after I close PT and restart it for a new session, it goes right back to not working and I have to go to configure stats and do the process all over again. I'm not sure why it doesn't save my settings after I do it once?

Yes, currently it only only applies to the current table. To "load" the saved layout on the other tables you can click PT-icon -> Reset.
When you start more tables they should have the saved layout, though. Same when you restart PT3, as long as you haven't saved the layout on another table where you hadn't updated the layout.

If the layout reverts to the default when you close and re-open PT3, does the file:
c:\program files\pokertracker 3\data\layouts.pt3
..change? i.e. does the timestamp update?
If it changes, please rename and attach both the before and after files to the Support system , and link to this thread, along with the log files written when you restart PT3.

Yeah when I restart PT3 it just goes back to no pop-ups again. Yet everything else stays the same as I configured in the past(i.e Hud stats etc)
And I did check the Layouts.pt3 file and the time stamp hasn't changed from a view days ago. (6/15/2008)

What do you mean by rename and attach both to the support system? Sorry I'm pretty computer illiterate.

Ah, sorry, I missed the main point - it's only the popups that aren't saving?
Are you creating a new group of popups and linking the on-table group to it, or are you editting the existing popup group?
What exactly doesn't save, the switch to a new popup group in the on-table group, or the editted contents/stats of the popup group?

(Don't worry about attaching for now, if we need a copy of your layout I'll explain)
