Immediate hang when running PT3 Beta 4

Postby TheRudolf » Sat Feb 23, 2008 8:42 pm

Hi guys,

I just downloaded and installed PT3 Beta 4 with Postgre SQL. When I run PT3 it hangs immediately. Here is the log file:

2008/02/23 16:59:51.890: [- Main -][System] PokerTracker v3.00 beta 4
2008/02/23 16:59:52.640: [- Main -][System] Xml error: Invalid response received from the server.

I do not have Postgre installed ever on this compuer but I do have SQL Server Services manager running in the system tray. It was installed with MS Office I think, I don't remember exactly which program uses it.

Any Suggestions?

Do you have any firewall or security software that might be intercepting and corrupting the communication between PT3 and the server when it checks for updates?

I disabled my NVIDIA firewall, it still hung up. The first time I ran it with the firewall I clicked "allow" when asked if it should connect to the internet. I checked the access rights for pokertracker.exe and it was not blocked. I also disabled PeerGuardian which I run in the background, still no luck.

Unfortunately, you'll need to wait until I can add a workaround for this. Hopefully it will be in the next beta version.
