PT3 v.3.08.1 cannot connect to database

Hello

just a fwe minutes ago PT was running well. after ending my session I used one of my filters and PT now says "unable to connect to database: Pocker Tracker 3 database".

Pls help!

That indicates that the PostgreSQL service probably isn't running.

The first thing to try is a reboot - that will often get it going again.
If not, read our Firewall Guide.

If it still won't connect, click Start (if you're running Windows XP click Run), type services.msc and hit enter. Locate the PostgreSQL service - is it running? If not, can you start it?

reboot didnt work.

I didnt change a thing about my firewall and it worked just minutes before the problem.
EDIT: just allowed FULL acces again. solved the problem.

Postgres SQL Database server 8.3 is running.

I remember that yesterday after housekeeping PT3 told me that there was a file missing (forgot to write down which).

just happened again! worked fine for a few hours.

when I try housekeeping in get prompted that file "pg_clog/0F75" is missing.

Try performing just a REINDEX via the housekeeping menu and see if that helps.

How long should the reindexing take??

my DB is about 20k hands and is now reinexing for about 3.5 hours. Fine??

No, the reindex should not take anywhere near that long. Are any of the postgres.exe processes still using any CPU (in Task Manager > Processes)?

No SQL-Process is running at all. After restart PC and Housekeeping.

If postgres.exe isn't running while reindex is attempting to work, something else is going wrong. Can you please attach the 5 most recent files in the C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\data\pg_log folder to a support ticket and we'll investigate further for you.

Had to work an Awful lot in the past.

Same problems as described are still there with v 3.10.

I will sent whole file to support.
