Pokerstars : PT3 is missing tables and working on others.

Postby duncin mac » Tue Dec 06, 2011 6:11 am

Just that: I play 6+ tables of 6 max LHE and occasionally I will play a few hands and no HUD will appear on 1-2 out of 6-9 or tables. It is difficult to check whether they imported at that point as I am playing and so working through PT as well can disrupt Stars by lagging the laptop - a Macbook.

In the main PT3 window is your Cache Status at 100%?

Cache was at 100% yeah. I just paused - tried to configure the HUD and then get unsupported database error which I had many times before.

I am now manually importing what I think is from today but I cannot tell exactly if that is all correct. I tried this previously and I think I wiped a load of hands from my HH folder by accident.

I misunderstood the sticky in how to manually import? Can you run it through?

There are two places files could be - in the original Stars hand history folder, or in the PT3 processed folder. After we read in a full file and auto import is stopped the file is moved to the processed folder so that PT3 doesn't need to re-read it every time auto import is started.

To import from the processed folder go to the Manual Import tab, click Import From Directory, and choose the C:\Program Files (x86)\PokerTracker 3\Processed folder and click OK. Expect lots of duplicates (and it's not a problem.

Then after that click File --> Setup Wizard and run through it - that will import all of the files in your hand history folder and move them.

Once that's complete all of the hands you have should be imported.

If you continue to experience these problems, please follow this tutorial and report the problem with log files so that we can figure out exactly what is causing this behavior and get it fixed.

I had a similar problem today. I play 6-9 tables and I noticed that most tables arent showing stats. They have the PT3 logo, but no stats. Resetting got the stats back, but when new tables came the same problem existed. Before I was dealt in a hand the stats were there (in wrong positions naturally), but when i got to sb they disappeared like normally, but unusually didnt come back. Reset helps, but I shouldnt be doing that for every table. It wasnt necessary before. Another thing is the hero stats. They do appear evetually but it takes some time. Herostats delay has been for few days now

TBH I couldn't say if I had the same issue re the sb and then switching off - but I did have the problem with the hero stats taking a while to show. Thing is I am not that familiar with PT3 as I am using a mac and had been using PCP. I found PT to be a bit laggy so I am not surprised when I get a delay in result. It was odd though - a definite recurrent thing with the hero stat taking significantly longer than others that I play with.

I manually imported all the hands from the directory that I think was right - on a mac, so was not what support put in above post - but I imported them manually from the processed folder and then went through setup wizard. But is this all I need to do now and so I can just auto-import any session? What additional things do I need to do to avoid any problems?

eg I just played a step sng or 2 while it was processing that import and setup which both literally took 6-7 hours, dunno if that is right - and now if I want to play can I just auto-import without manually adding the hh for the sng? Can auto-import only be used for hh that occur when you play and not to feed in hh that already have been played?

I thought that previously I did everything correct but I would end up with duplicates and errors all over and would crash my system.

Do you have your hand history directory on the Desktop? That can cause problems. Also please make sure you don't have your hands set to save in the Processed folder - that needs to be a separate directory PT3 is not importing from otherwise the overwhelming number of files will cause trouble.

The first thing I'd check is that you don't have a set of old hand history files in the hand history folder.
With PokerStars closed completely, check that 'Move Processed Files To' is enabled in the Auto Import > Preferences and then start the auto import. Hopefully it doesn't find any files, but if it does, let it run until the hands/duplicates/errors numbers stop increasing and then stop it. Run it again and check that it doesn't find any files. If it still does, let us know.

Also check that the cache is at 100% in the Status Bar at the bottom of PT3. If not, run Database > Housekeeping.

If you still have trouble after that please report your problem so that we can check your logs to see what is going on.

I had all kinds of problems again. I had manually imported from that directory and then I had used setup wizard. It seemed to be all right. But sever crash lash night.

It has frozen a couple of times but last night was particularly bad. Multi-tabling at 9 tables and it was lagging very badly until I had to stop - I then played about 6 tournaments which was all right until I realised the HUD was apparent but not updating. I had to force quit to stop PT and then manually import again and then take a couple of goes to auto-import without getting any duplicates.

Then as an additional issue PT would not shut down when I want to turn it off and I am seeing what impact it has had on the computer. This is on a mac BTW.
