Unable to purge own sessions/observed hands

Trying to purge some of my own sessions ie limits no longer wanted and purging says its starting but elapsed time clock doesnt start and "not responding" appears in header,just seems to lock up,have to close program to exit.

Exactly the same thing happens when using the advanced purge tab to purge "observed hands" in attempting to keep db a manageable size.

Any ideas/help??

If you aren't using v3.11.6 BETA then please upgrade. You can find it on our download page.

Hmm Thanks but not much help.....I am using latest version and I cant purge a hand!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have a large database the purge process can take some time. Please try letting it run overnight or something and see if it progresses.

Ok left it run overnight elapsed time now just over 9 hours.............

Am trying to delete 6 days observed hands from beginning of last month.........

Estimated time left on elapsed time clock is 199000 hours and a few minutes,or just over 22 years!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 57 years old looks like I'm going to be spending the rest of my life watching a little green bar move exrtemely slowly to the right..........

Seriously guys this cant be right..........HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

What version of PT3 are you using? If it doesn't say v3.11.6 Beta in the title bar of PT3 please update as purge speed is one thing which was improved in recent betas.

Purging a small number of hands like that shouldn't take that long, of course, although if your database is very large it can take quite a while as purging is quite an involved process.
If you are trying to get rid of a significant number of sessions you may even find it faster to export the ones you want to keep and import them to a new database.

Am running latest version..........

Cant export hands/session can I as how do I identify them,I want to delete observed/mined hands that I didnt play just to keep my db to a rolling month of data.

Sorry, I meant to add - the estimated time for the remainder of the purge is a huge over-estimate, although I do not expect it to finish soon so you may want to stop it.
You can export just your own hands by selecting all sessions for your screenname in the export window.

And then I guess I'd have to re-import to the new db all the observed/mined hands again for the last month???????

I'm new too PT3 I'm not asking too much of it am I to hold a months worth of observed hands,1 liimiit only,and my own play about 4 hours a day 12 tabling.

Not a fascious questiion I dont know the software but I am hopeless at all thiis exporting/creating new dbs and stuff and would prefer a more straightforward solution
