Observed HH on 'Stars not importing

Postby jcamdog » Sat May 17, 2008 6:39 pm

On previous versions of PAHUD, the HUD scanned the memory, allowing for stats to pop-up on observed tables. 'Stars does not save observed hands to the HDD, so is this functionality gone from PT3, or have i not figured out how to get stats to appear on tables I am not sitting at (but have opponents sitting with whom I have hand histories on)?

On stars, it is illegal to datamine (get stats on tables you are not playing on), so this functionality is not available with PT3. Granted, with PT2+PAHUD when it scanned memory you got stats, but they were not submitted to your long term database. To keep our software legal on stars site, though, this option as been totally removed from the software.

If you want to know if such software is legal on any site, please check the site's terms of service. Some sites allow for datamining (like FTP), other do not (like Stars).

So PT3 is incapable of showing stats on Pokerstars for players I played previous sessions with while I am table selecting and not currently seated at that table even though I was dealt into those previous hands and gained those stats legally?

I believe that the memory scanner functionality will be added back in sometime fairly soon (but not 100% sure).

Ok, can we get this straight? Is PT3 going to have the memory scanner ability like PT2 or not? It's not against the TOS.

Please give us an answer on this as it is critically important. The first step in making a superior product than the last one is keeping the good things, not throwing them away.

Yes, PT3 will allow limited observed importing and stat display. PokerStars will allow 30 hands for a table to be imported, so that's what PT3 will allow.

Thats not really what I'm talking about. I have a huge huge DB of hands already for PS. Is PT3 going to be able to use that DB to show me stats of players before I actually sit at the table?

Hi, I have the same question here:

Will PT3 eventualy have this feauture, to be able to see players stats without sitting down at the table, from oponents who I have stats on in my database, from playing with them in the past ? Please note this has nothing to do with datamining, but only with players that I have in my database. This feature is critical for table selection on PS. Thanks

Supposedly they really don't get what I'm asking or they are going to have a 30 hand cap on the hands.
