Hm, definitely i was able to work [bjpx]at home[/bjpx] with the previous beta release. That was yesterday. But i didn't work with it yesterday at work.

I will try it in a few hours at home again, but the 5 seconds could be really to short, because if i use PT2 at work , it always tries to connect to pokertracker and it needs some more time for the update check.

Further does this not explain, that the PokerTracker.exe is still running, which is seen in the task manager.

If the timeout isn't working, it does explain the PokerTracker.exe still running. It's trying to connect to the website and it's sitting there waiting until it connects.

Total guess here, but if it works at home and not at work, you probably have some sort of firewall software preventing PT3 from starting up (it needs to access some XML files, I believe). Try killing the pokertracker.exe process, then shutting down your firewall (if you can), or just disconnecting from your corporate network. Then try starting up PT3 again.

If PT3 is able to start, then you should be able to reconnect to your corporate network and use PT3...it's apparently just a startup issue.

Hi!

It's definitily the environment at work. At home i have no problems starting PT3 (with activated firewall on my computer) and it worked perfect.

At work exists the firewall of the company and a http proxy. I believe, that the http proxy is the problem, but PT3 should start, if a connection to the update server is not possible.

I agree, it should start, unless the proxy is somehow causing the connection to lockup. I'll add more logging and hopefully I'll be able to get this figured out.
