Your database shouldn't be causing these problems, so try keeping it first.

Well I uninstalled/rebooted/reinstalled PosgreSQL and deleted my database, PT3 still freezes when I try to launch.

Any ideas?

Use this link to create a ticket scheduling a remote session with one of our lead technicians where he can log into your computer and see what's going on firsthand and hopefully figure out what to do to fix it. Make sure to link to this thread and make it clear that you've tried reinstalling PostgreSQL with no luck and we'll get to the bottom of this.

Please, report the solution in the forum.
I have tried to reinstall and got nothing, still freeze in the start.
My computer is a Toshiba Satellite laptop with Vista. Maybe it helps to isolate the problem. What is yours?

tlako,

Click ctrl+alt+del and click task manager. Click on the Processes tab, find PokerTracker if it's there and click "End task". Then click Start --> Programs --> PostgreSQL --> Stop Services and attempt to restart PT3 and see if it starts up normally for you then. (That fixes a known issue for quite a few people that might help you.)

Hi kraada,

I had already tried that, but didn't work.

Anyway, I think I have found the solution:
I rembered I had installed two days ago the "Daemon Tools". This is an utility for CD/DVD emulation. I think is quite popular: http://forum.daemon-tools.cc/index.php.
So, I uninstalled this software, and everything is OK now. I don't understand the relationship between this software an PT3, but I think there is some kind of incompatibility.

I've tried everything, even uninstalling and installing with a fresh new database and got nothing. I've even came back to b22.
Any idea?

Create that support request and one of our technicians will get back to you to schedule a time for him to log into your computer, see the problem first hand, and fix it for you.

Hi,

I think I have found the problem. This time I really think so :-)
The problem was that I have Vista with the windows mode "Vista Basic". As soon as I changed back to "Aero" my PT3 came back to life.
Previously, I have switched to this mode because in 2+2 forum this is the recomendation for using betpot script with Vista.
Very strange, isn't it? I couldn't imagine that the screen theme mode were to affect PT3.
