Thanks for the tip.
I used unlocker like you told and really it seems that this documents where blocked. Unlocker seems to release them - but now the problem I described persists ... also after a restart. PT3 still only shows my starting icon ... and no trace in the task manager...
Some other suggestion? Would it probably help, if I downgrade to an older version?

You're sure you're looking on the processes tab in Task Manager? I've never heard of anything else locking the PT3 files (except PT3 running).

Could you please create a support request using this link explaining the situation and our head technician will schedule a time to log into your machine and get this fixed.

You are right, I didn't watch good, now I see: there are actualy two PokerTracker.exe processes running in the processes Tab always when I try to launch PT. First PokerTracker.exe takes about 1,6 MB and no CPU ressources, second PokerTracker.exe takes about 16 MB and uses for a few seconds about 50% of the CPU, as if it would start up acuratedly and then after a few seconds the .exe stops all activity ... and all I see from PT ist the start-icon ...

When I shut down the .exe and try to launch again like you told me - nothing changes. After a restart: same picture... And also with Unlocker I couldn't change anything

I will contact technical support and agree whith them.
Will this take long? or could I try to install an older build/beta to see if this works?

End those processes using the End Process button on the task manager. Then edit the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\Data\PokerTracker.cfg file and set Logging=Y and save the file. Attempt to start up PT3 and wait 5 full minutes.

Then attach the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTracker.log to a support ticket and we'll look into what could be causing this for you.

Same exact thing just happened to me today. I had no problems previously. Came home from work, tried to fire it up and it shows teh logo, the logo goes away and nothing. There is a pokertracker.exe running in the task manager. I have ended that and tried to restart but the same thing happens. Please keep this thread updated so I can get mine up and running as well.

Thanks

For now Technical support told me, that my fire wall is the problem. But this doesn't help, because the problem persists also with exeptions defined for PT3 and even when fire wall is shut down ...

so I'm still stuck for the moment
