follow up (while defragging).. do you recommend to have the PT move processed files into their own directory or not? i like to have fastest possible options..

Yes, definitely. It won't move processed files after a manual import, though, so you'll have to do that yourself.

so after i am done defragging, i should take the following steps

1) Create new DB
2) Import HH into the new DB
3) Run HouseKeeping
4) Move hands into processed folder within PT folder, correct?

Defrag took a while (2+ hours).. looks like the disk was pretty fragmented. Just created a new DB (backed up old personal HH files and removed old DB as well).. and just started manual import. so far chugging along at 180+ h/s.. Estimated time remained 2:20..

updates to follow.

i know it's not frozen cause when i look in "C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\data\base\25455", and press refresh, i see one of the files is slowly increasing in size..

In that case, let it keep running. I don't know why it's taking quite as long as it is for you, but if it's still working, let it keep going.

Yea, it looks like it's making 1gb files and then starts new one... Original size of data was 2gb (txt files).... How big will the db be? Just trying to caalculate estimated time remaining ...

If these were full ring hands, somewhere in the neighborhood of 15G. If they were 6-max, something more like 10G.
