error importing after each hand

i have postresql 8.4 and I did look under there. I see... pgadminIII, reload configuration, Restart Server, Application Stack builder, and others but no "configuration Files"

It's the 8.4 that changes things - things are done a little differently there.

Click Start --> My Computer --> C: --> Program Files --> PostgreSQL --> 8.4 --> data and the postgresql.conf file should be there. Open it with notepad or wordpad, whichever you prefer. (Note: If you're using a 64 bit machine it may be Program Files (x86) not just regular Program Files.)
