wow, yet another new crash with beta 15.

this one, windows had a pop up error window, saying the program stopped working and to shut it down. while that was happening all my tables were frozen timed out on all.

once i click ok to shut it down, my tables were freed.. it only shut down hud and not pt3, however pt3 was non-responsive and i had to shut it down via task manager.

on weird thing to note that i hadnt noticed b4 is the task bar at bottom of screen that shows what windows you have open. there were 2 for pt3, the hud had it's own. when i restarted it, this wasnt the case anymore.

log will be sent at end of play day

kegger, as soon as i get logs sent in for each prob im experiencing with b15, ill try your suggestion and update here. but if that doesnt work and if b16 isnt close, and since they wont extend the time on b14, i will be forced to use a competitors software.

it appears that a fresh database got rid of the new errors, but the access violation is still constant throughout the day.

so why doesn't b15 like my database, and how can i fix it?

When you created your new DB, how much did you import into it?
Is it still quite small?

Beta 15 is working worse then other versions. It seems like its crashing even more now. My CPU peaks at 70% although Im running nothing else besides PT3, FTS and FTP. I have a quad processor and there still seems to be some lag caused by PT3 which is costing me money. One of the reasons I bought a brand new PC last month was so I can run PT3 with no lag. I can play Crysis on high settings but running PT3 and 16 tables on FTP seems to be too much to handle.

Possibly worth importing hands a few at a time (I mean a few files) - maybe a day at a time or whatever to see if it starts breaking at a certain point.

New version is way worse for me too. P4 2.7 with 2Go RAM now has trouble running 4 PS table + PT3 and HUD without locking up regularly at 100% CPU for a few seconds, lagging, or crashing PT3 or the HUD. My old P3 550 managed that quite fine back in the days with PT2 and PAHud...

The previous beta was far from being such a resources hog. Can we rollback or has the database upgrade made that impossible ?

Yes, you can roll back, but please submit a bug report and log files first so that we can work out WHY it's not working for you. Ignoring the problems won't help us fix them!
