PT3 won't launch, gray box instead

I didn't realize that would cause a problem for PT3 either, but it's good to know.

I'll make sure the development team hears about this so we can look into what's causing the problem with Vista Basic and get it fixed.

Hi,

I think I have found the problem. This time I really think so
The problem was that I have Vista with the windows mode "Vista Basic". As soon as I changed back to "Aero" my PT3 came back to life.
Previously, I have switched to this mode because in 2+2 forum this is the recomendation for using betpot script with Vista.
Very strange, isn't it? I couldn't imagine that the screen theme mode were to affect PT3.

Thanks for letting us know about this - have you tested using both 'themes' a couple of times? I don't have the right version of Vista to be able to use Aero apparently, but one of the other support staff has just tried this and it worked for him in both 'basic' and 'aero'.

If anyone else with this problem could also try this and let us know whether or not it helps that would be great.

Hi,
I have done the following test:
* First, with aero mode opened PT3 normally.
* Set Vista basic mode. Tried to open PT3 and no success: the program freezed with the splash logo that aferwards became a grey rectangle. Killed the application with the Task manager.
* Set aero mode again and opened PT3 normally.

Maybe is some combination of other factors: I have Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 language Spanish). My laptop is Toshiba Satellite A200.

How do I find out if I am in Windows Basic or Aero? This Vista stuff is all new to me. (and I'm not that literate anyhow )

Click Start --> Control Panel -> Personalization -> Window Color and Appearance, press the "open classic appearance properties" link and then select "Windows Aero" or "Windows Vista Basic".
