Tournament Reports: Rebuys Unaccounted?

I know this has been worked on and I believe improved detection is planned for the next Beta release.

Is there any update on this yet?... the next beta has come and gone.

The number of rebuys and addons can be taken from several sources
- chat window (for addons and rebuys)
- hand history (for rebuys)
- memory reading/hooking
- playing audit file on PokerStars (both addons and rebuys) [don't know about other sites]

Of course none of these methods will tell you all the rebuys/addons of all players, but most tournament players don't care about that - we just care about our own data.

I am getting totally sick of hours of data entry adding all this information manually when it can easily be done automatically by parsing the Playing Audit Files.

Just being annoyed about wasted time isn't the only problem - I keep finding data entry errors when I compare PT's data to the Stars audit files.

This isn't rocket science - there's already an AutoIT stars audit file parser available at http://forum.parttimepoker.com/shooting ... r-6-a.html

I was close to writing one to submit to the database via SQL, and then I remembered that I pay for PT3 - and even if I did do it my work would be wasted when such an obvious feature is included in PT3 later anyway.

So what's the current status?


BTW - if it seems like I sound a bit narky in this post, it might be because I posted in this exact thread 6 months ago (look back through the thread) and absolutely nothing has happened, at least from a custormer perspective

There has been work on adding rebuy support for Stars and Full Tilt - it has caused one issue in Beta 30.1 that should be fixed for Beta 30.2, but I was under the impression that at least Hero's rebuys should be counted in Beta 30.1. If you're not seeing this could you please report the problem so that we can investigate further?

I don't have anything to report - PT3 beta 30.1 does not automatically record any rebuy/addon information for stars at all.
(I've just looked back through all my rebuys from yesterday just to make sure)

Please let me know - because at the moment all my support ticket would say is nothing more than what I've just said here.

No, you don't need to do anything - we'll get back to you via your ticket. If you didn't already, make sure you attach a hand history file for one of the tournaments where you rebought.

I haven't submitted a ticket because I haven't yet established if there is a problem - or if PT3 simply doesn't automatically record rebuys and addons.

Does it record them, and how does it do it?

For example - if it uses the chat window then it won't work for me because I don't usually have chat visible.

Please let me know so I can work out whether or not to submit a ticket, and what I'd need to include.

I have now submitted a ticket, but I don't see how double stacking at the start or the addons could be included from the Hand History files because this information isn't in hand histories.

I don't understand all of the technical side of things, but intuitively if Hero's stack size goes up without an intervening hand, there must have been a rebuy (or add-on).
