Well isn't that bizarre :?

Let me do a little research and I will get back to you on this. I am going to mark this thread for my attention so that I do not forget.

Best regards,

Lets try this...

Open your command prompt and browse to your PostgreSQL\8.2\bin directory.

Then run:

[codesle]createuser -s -d -r -P -U chaser postgres[/codesle]

You will then be prompted to enter your password for the new user "postgres" and then prompted again to re-enter the password.

Next, you will be prompted to enter your "Chaser" password.

Hopefully this works and you encounter no errors. Then you should be able to login via the new user "postgres" with the password you provided.

Best regards,

Derek

Yes, the crashing during conversion is a common problem.

Until we are able to get this conversion crash resolved, I recommend exporting your hand histories to file in PT2 then manually importing them into PT3.

Best regards,

Derek

PS. I am glad we got the other issue resolved! :)

How did you move PostgreSQL to that disk in the first place?

You need to reinstall PostgreSQL to disk J again - when you format Windows, you lose all record of installed programs. Even though the program was installed on the other drive, you need the registry keys and whatnot to be there in your operating system so that the server can be started. Once you reinstall PostgreSQL to disk J, everything should work (and your data will still be there, too).
