The cache updating process ended after 12h (6GB Databases) and now if I switch my active database PT3 claims "The active database does not contain a populated cache. Updating the cache will result in the Hud operating much faster and smoother. Please go to the database housekeeping to update the cache." AAAHHH, what went wrong during the cache update? unfortunately logging was not activated, but it gave me no errors, everything went fine :(

I have the same problem. I imported manually from a directory with the "Cluster on completion", "Analyze on completion" and "Update Cache on completion" options checked. The import and Housekeeping went smoothly without error messages, but I'm getting the message

"The active database does not contain a populated cache. Updating the cache will result in the Hud operating much faster and smoother. Please go to the database housekeeping to update the cache."

every time I open the database. Is there a way to check whether the cache did get built or not?

Are you using Vista or XP?
What version of postgres are you using? (Start -> Programs -> PostgreSQL 8.x ; what is x?)

I'm using Vista SP1 on one computer, and XP SP3 on another with Postgresql 8.2 on both. I get the same message on both computers.

Same issue for me too. Vista SP1 32bit, postgres 8.3, core 2 quad.

I have 2 databases and I only get this message for one of them. Cache in my smaller database is working. I received no error while creating cache.
2008/08/29 12:40:50.841: [00005308][StatManager] Cache update is 100 percent complete (17,598/17,598).
2008/08/29 12:40:50.867: [00005308][StatManager] Population of table complete.
2008/08/29 12:40:50.940: [00005308][StatManager] Cache successfully updated.

If you have custom stats, go to the custom stats window and check the columns under both the Player Statistics sections. Do any of the columns begin with a number?
