What version of PT3 are you using?
Is this a new issue, or have you only just tried PT3?
Are you using some type of preferred seating option?
Are there any old hand histories being imported (from previous sessions)? - sometimes this can cause this kind of issue.

no, there were no old hand historys being importet. I am using PT3 for over 2 month now
and there are always problems with the right seat locations?

Please enable logging, reproduce the problem by playing a few hands on a single table and submit your PokerTracker.log and PokerTrackerHUD.log files (zip/compress them first, call it logs.zip) to the Support system , and link to this thread in the reference field of the ticket so that we can investigate.
Attach a screenshot of the table showing the incorrectly placed stats too.

I just started playing on Everest. It seems like there is a "preferred seat", center bottom, that messes the HUD. I couldn't find any option to disable that. Do I have to wait until PT3 supports preferred seating like Pokerstars or is there any other way?

We have quite a lot of people playing at Everest so it must be possible. I don't play at Everest myself, and I'm not familiar with their preferred seating options, but I'll try to find out for you.

I believe the issue is the [full ring/6max] auto detection. 4 of my last 10 6max sessions were recognized as full ring. That would explain weird stats positions. I started sending in those hand histories.

If you enable the 'adjust qualifying tables limits' option on the auto import tab, it should detect your short-handed tables at import time. Otherwise, use PT-icon -> Treat As .. 6-max.

Adjust qualifying tables limits is and has always been checked. So I suppose you could still make some use of the aforementioned hand histories.
I'm not sure about "Treat as 6-max": Should it change the complete session details to 6-max or does is only affect the hud? My session is still missing the (6max) suffix in the sessions tab.

Treat as 6-max will only affect the HUD.
The option to redefine levels will be added soon(ish).
If you have some hand histories which aren't recognized, though, please send them to us.
