auto rate icons still show different popup descriptions and wrong icons. setting is default.
for example: for somebody running 8/4/1.6 it shows the mouse icon and popupdescription calls him semiloose /passive/passive

which version do i have to update to??? running windows xp

i tried the following version:

and it wouldnt work. quite understandable, as it isnt the vversion for windows XP.

error message says: cannot connect to pt3 database etc...

with the following one for XP:

hud and pt are running allright, but the forementioned problems stay the same

The different versions are not for different operating systems, they should both work on XP.

If it says it can't connect to the DB, this normally means that postgres isn't running.
Please try starting the postgres service: Start -> Programs -> PostgreSQL -> Start Service.
If that, and a reboot doesn't work, try stopping the service (Start -> Programs -> Postgres -> Stop Service), running a search on your computer for postmaster.pid and then deleting that file, then restarting the service and see if that helps.
Note that you may need to turn on 'View hidden files and folders', and the file seems to be in the folder './Program Files/postgresql//data'.

i deleted the mentioned file.

same error message.

the thread u mentioned....i dont really understand, what to do about it and to be honest i`m to lazy to try all this.
so i`m back to the former version and to hell with that autorating.
though i wonder what will happen, if i use a userdefined auto rate instead of the default setting

Oh, if the previous version runs then it's not a problem with postgres not running.
Please tell us the exact error message, and where you see it, and what you are doing in PT3 at the time.

shutting down zonealarm and antivir for a minute, then starting PT3 with the newest build did it....mehhh now i ran out of problems....say ty to thomas from ticket suppport.
