When I open PT, I get a pop-up, Database Error message. It says [ia2d]Unable to connect to the database. 101 - SQLSTATE = 08001 server closed the connection unexpectedly This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.[/ia2d] It does ot seemt o recognize my postgreSQL database. How do I fix this problem?
Also, when I open PAHUD, I also get an error. [ia2d]PokerAce Hud Error! SQL connection Exception: Failed to connect to datasource: server closed the connection unexpectedly This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.[/ia2d] I am guessing it is trying to find my postgreSQL in PT and errors out also.
I appreciate any help. If this cannot be fixed, can someone point me in the right direction to starting over.

Go Start->Program Files->PostgreSQL->Stop Service
Then Start->Program Files->PostgreSQL->Start Service
See if that resolves the issue...

It seems like I have the same problem. There is the same error message when opening PT. After severall deinstalls and reinstalls of PostgreSQL i noticed that this occurs after each system restart.
Using Stop service and Start service makes PT work properly. But after the next restart there is the same sh** again. What is going on there ? PostgreSQL is definitely running when starting my computer. And I do not want to execute those stop and start manually each time.

Are you running Windows XP? Please send me your last 2-3 PostgreSQL log file via the
Support system so that I can look into the issue. Your PostgreSQL log files are located in your main PostgreSQL directory /<version>/data/pg_log
