Are you running Microsoft Vista? If so, disable 'User Account Control' then install PokerTracker 3 [bw3z]with[/bw3z] PostgreSQL. You more than likely have already created user accounts during your failed installation so use the same username/password that you entered during previous installation attempts.

did the above, it gives me same message then it rolls back to the configure postgresql database- has all the info stored, i go to create and get the following error- "unable to create sql database: PT3BetaDB1- Reason- :Unable to login to database (template 1) Reason: could not connect to the server. Connection refused Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?"

This is all on a new laptop, - the first time I downlaoded this, everything worked fine, but the next time i turned on the computer it seemed like it had restarted from a day before and PT was then missing from the computer and since then this is the same message i'm getting trying to install it.

FWIW, I deleted the postgresql folder in program files and re-installed it and it worked out fine.

Thanks

Ok, please see [url=http://www.pokertracker3.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=790b6y]Attn: Vista Users Installing PostgreSQL 8.3[/urlb6y]. You will need to manually install PostgreSQL 8.2.6 or try the 8.3 Vista Fix that I have linked in that thread.

If you have any questions or need help manually installing, please post in the thread linked above.

Best regards,

Derek
