Build 4

I have installed the build 4 upgrade over my existing build 3 .26 version with postgre. Install seemed to go well. I ran PT3 and have been waiting for 18 hours looking at the the startup-logo. The warning said it may take longer than usual, but I'm wondering if I should reboot and try again. Taskmanager reports that PT3 is running and the hard drive light flickers as if it was doing something. I am concerned because I did not notice a postgre option at download screen.

Should I start again?

Thanks
Geoff

So I read the post by aperfect10 for Vista problems and uninstalled and reinstalled postgres with uac off and all seemed good. I checked task manager and several postgres processes are running. I have installed the full version of PT3 over the existing installation and am still staring at the startup logo, Any ideas?

Thanks
Geoff

Well, I can't seem to get build 4 going.

I have gone to build 3.27.1 and everything seems fine here.

I would have missed this program.

Build 4 is older than both Beta 26 and 27 so you should stick with b27.
There have been several changes to the database since Build 4 so it is not advisible to go back to a version that much older.
