import took good 5 hours which is ok but then during housekeeping (on 8th hour or so) i had a power outage which rebooted my PC. I am running housekeeping again, on 11th hour now -- how long should this last?? any suggestions to starting from scratch?

p.s. HD is constantly going at it but nothing significantly really happening CPU wize...

Housekeeping can certainly be very database heavy; is it still clustering or has it moved on to the other housekeeping phases?

I think given how long things have taken for you, your best bet is going to be cancelling the housekeeping via task manager (end the PT3 process), then run a full scandisk on your machine and defrag your hard drive. Once that's done, create a new database in PT3 and reimporting your hands, then run housekeeping and it should take much, much less time.
