MacOS X Support
The first release of PokerTracker 3 for Mac requires Leopard (10.5.x) or Snow Leopard (10.6.x) running on Intel CPUs. Future versions will support older release of MacOS and PowerPC G4 and G5 processors.
You must be logged in to your Mac using an Admin account.
To check whether your account has administrator priviledges go to System Preferences > Accounts, and under your account name it should say "Admin".
PokerTracker and PostgreSQL Installation
1) Download the Full Installation of PokerTracker 3
* Don't forget to read the Licensing Agreement and check the agreement checkbox.
2) Double click the .dmg file and this will mount the installer image.
3) Double click "PokerTracker 3 Full.mpkg" to start the installer.
4) If the installer tells you to reboot, then double click and run the installer a second time after the reboot.
5) You should now have "PokerTracker" and "PostgreSQL 8.4" in your /Applications folder.
NOTE: PostgreSQL does not always properly start after installation. If you have problems connecting to PostgreSQL please reboot your Mac and try again.
Configuring PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker
Please refer to the PokerStars Configuration Guide and the Full Tilt Configuration Guide for information on how to configure PokerTracker 3 with your poker sites. You must be able to properly import hand histories from the poker site before the HUD will work. These guides were written for Windows, but the steps are similar on Mac as well.
NOTE: Due to technical issues with detecting OnGame windows the HUD will not currently work with OnGame. You can still auto-import the hands as they are written in order to review your play later.
PokerTracker 3 Settings
PokerTracker 3 for Mac stores its settings in ~/Library/Application Support/PokerTracker. If you want to reset your settings for testing or to try and resolve a configuration issue just drag this whole folder to the Trash. In this case you will need to re-input your registration code.
PokerTracker 3 Log Files
If you enable logging PokerTracker 3 for Mac will write two log files to your Documents/PokerTracker directory. These two log files PokerTracker.log and PokerTrackerHud.log are useful for helping us solve bugs and configuration issues. When asked please use our support system to Submit a Support Ticket and attach these two files. It may be necessary to compress them first by secondary clicking and selecting "Compress PokerTracker.log".
If PokerTracker 3 closes unexpectedly then an additional crash log will be generated. These crash logs are saved in Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports and will look similar to PokerTracker_2009-12-25-213741_MacBook.crash. Please attach this to your support ticket as well.
