When auto-import during play, game does not finish correctly

This is a wierd problem, complicated by a strange error after 'houskeeping'.

Issue is that when I auto import during play at Absolute Poker, the game finishes (and I let the table conclude, even if I lost - so as to gather all hands I hope).... in the case tonight in a 9 player SnG I finished first. I closed the table, and then stopped the hud, and turned off auto-import.

Problem 1 - I went to my tournaments tab, my first ten games are there, but the new one was not. So, as I've seen happen, I shut down PT3, started again, and sure enough, the game was there. But not the entry fee and rake... but my place and winnings were there. Strange. Now I figure I'll go back to import, manual, and do an email import (my hand history I requested to be sent to my email box) - and yes, PT3 obliged, reporting 99 duplicate hands (the number of hands played of course), and the loading of the summary.

But it still did not enter the buy in or the rake. Furthermore, now the hours of play were doubled?! O.K., the softare just added the time to the existing time that was already created by auto-import. I decide to fix this by going to housekeeing, where I purge the tournament, then housekeeping again, finally I close PT3 (I just do it, don't know why, it seems to like it) - start it back up, import the tournament from email, and yes. Finally everything is right, rake, buy in, time, place winnings - BUT...

How should I properly close / finish a tournament (I play mainly SnG, and some MTT's - please, why does not auto import finish correctly, and get all of the info into my database?) I need this to be smooth - who wants to use the HUD and auto-import, and then have to manually import? Or even manually enter the results which would be faster, but still - why should I have to? I must be doing something wrong.

Secondly - after the above described painful contortions did work, I looked at my players table to the left. And what do I see, the first player in the sorted list shows (tournaments tab) a 2nd tourney that I know he did not play with me (nor did I observe it) It was a completely ficticious tourney with a start time of 2100/12/31 and an end time of 1978/12/31 - and of course a huge amount of negative minutes (-64,166,399 fyi). Not surprising, there are no hands in this tourney either. How did ig tet there?

I can send a pic of this problem a screen capture - but anyway, now I don't trust the database - furthermore, how could I correct this error anyway? I don't see an easy way to do it, and I want my database to be pristine - that's why I completely started a new database, and began all over with the software. I only have 11 tourneys (SnG's) recorded, but already issues.

Sorry for the long email, I just wanted to be thorough. Thanks for any help & pointers. k9_scruz & polywoman

You need to click the Refresh button on the Tournaments tab to see newly imported information.
The hand history files do not include full summary information but (as you see) the email contains more. You need to click Refresh again after importing that.
The time problem is a bug in the Cereus software - I forget which way round it is, but they specific times in the hand histories and emails both in the same timezone (your local time IIRC) but label one of them as ET and one as local time to you so PT3 adjusts one of them.

Thanks, I'll do as you instruct. The time problem though, I need to get around that somehow, as I want my BB/hour win stat (or loss stat heaven forbid) to be accurate. It's a nice way to see my overall progress, therefore time is of the essence (pun intended). Since I can't enter / correct this in PT3, what do I do when I import the email? It looks like I need to just use the auto-import, do what you say above for 'refreshing', and then enter in the results by hand. The only issue is that I want the hand history to be complete for the table - therefore collecting the other player's actions, even if I'm knocked out early. It's all confusing, but the goal is to ahieve a clean database. I'll keep playing with it, and see what I can figure out. Sorry for long posts - I'm just an extremely fast typist.

I didn't think that importing a summary after the hands had been imported would mess up the times of the tournament. Please copy & paste the email to a text document and attach it along with the hand history file to a Support ticket and we'll investigate. If the times are being overwritten incorrectly we'll need to get that sorted.

I'm getting a similar problem.

My own results are correct, but my opponent's "minutes", ei. time played is coming in negative, after a results import. This is causing the wrong sign for $/Hour results.

During auto-import, there isn't a problem.

Please report this problem as well so that we can investigate further.
