Version about to expire

Hello,
I get "this version is about to expire" on V3.06.2 Release OSX. Which is the latest.
When does it actually expire ?
Do I have to download the BETA version ?
Why does a software that I have paid for "expire" anyway ?

TIA
Stuart.

Please check to make sure that your computer's date is set properly in the System Preferences -> Date panel. 3.06.2 should not expire until October 16th, by which point there will be a new stable release available to upgrade to.

That's odd - they should last for 6 months. Either way, upgrading to the latest Beta should solve this problem for you then.

Same problem (version 3.06.2 on a Mac 10.6.4, with message "version about to expire")
I have a problem with the solution you are offering. Isn't the Beta version a beta version?

Please do not cross post; we read every post. I responded in the other thread.

The date is correct. (It can be wrong on a mac if there is a hardware problem)

I must say that I object to the software expiring. Cant it just say this version is not supported please upgrade, but not actually block execution (Assuming that is what it does).

The expiration could be correct at 16 Oct, maybe the warnings come in too early.

I spoke with a developer and he confirmed it should not expire before 10/16, and I do not know at this point what is causing the warning. The expiration is solely to keep people using more recent versions of our software as the software will continue to improve and evolve - upgrades to the PT3 line will not cost more. As there are clearly several people experiencing this problem we will certainly try to investigate further and attempt to determine what is causing these errors so far in advance of when the software should be expiring. It should continue to work until 10/16 - but if it does cease functioning the latest Beta will work immediately upon installation.

It says the beta version failed to install and it's the fault of the creators and I should contact them. Now I can't use this software at all, great bugs! :D
