Slow manual import

I was trying to combine databases by exporting out of one and importing into another. Speed deteriorated quite a bit over 8 hours, and I finally had to stop. There were a 286 duplicates out of 286,519 hands so far. It took 8:13:07 to go through 96 of 206 files. I created a support ticket (will reference this thread) so I could upload a screen shot.
