BB/100 and BB/Hour Half what it should be

Postby Sun Tzu » Thu May 01, 2008 10:55 am

Using Poker Tracker 3 on PokerStars.
Under the "General" and "Sessions" tab, the BB/100 and BB/Hour are half of what they should be.

Eg: Session of $2 NL (6 max)
Hours 1.55, Hands 118, Hands/Hr 76.13, Amount Won $418.70, BB/100 88.71, BB/Hour 67.53, $/Hour $270.13.

By my calculations, the BB/Hour and BB/100 should be twice what is showing.

Thanks

I believe this was done to normalize with limit games difference between small bets and big bets...where the big blind is half the big bet. So, the bb/100 you see is actually a big bet/100, not big blind/100.

You can change this behavior in PT2, and I swear I saw it somewhere in PT3, but don't remember where. I'd be willing to bet that's planned functionality if it's not there already, though.

You're quite right, it does say Big Bet rather than Big Blind. Thanks for the clarification. Seems more logical to think in terms of Big Blinds per hour since both limit and no limit games have these. Big Bet is kind of a strange concept in a no limit game. But I can adjust my thinking if need be. Thanks again.
