How to import to new database?

Postby Molon Labe » Fri May 02, 2008 3:15 am

Context:
Vista Ultimate x64 SP1
beta 10

Problem:
Upgraded to beta 10 and message says to create new database. I created a new database. How do you transfer your hand histories from the old database (beta 7 version) to the new one? I am currently reprocessing hand histories by importing them...but with over 13K hands this is going to take forever. Is there a better way or is this it?

Just read in this post http://www.pokertracker.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3996:

I should also mention that you'll have to create a new database to do any imports with this version. I apologize for this inconvenience. If you need the hand histories from your existing PT3 database, in the Database -> Database Management window, there is a bulk export feature that will save all your hand histories to disk. To create a new database, in the same Database Management window, click New, fill out the information and create your database. Make it active and default, if desired and you should be good to go.

I guess I could export the old database and manually import the files into the new one. At any rate, I have the old HH files and it's crunching away.

Yes, as discussed in the other thread, for now you'll just have to re-import.
