Do I really have to create a new database?

in B10 obv. I installed etc then tried manually importing new hands and I get massive errors on every hand. Eg:

Unable to import hand. Reason: Unable to execute query: COPY tourney_holdem_hand_summary FROM STDIN;; Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR: extra data after last expected column CONTEXT: COPY tourney_holdem_hand_summary, line 1: "103914 100 1908 9 1906 17145167863 2008/05/02 13:26:25 2008/05/02 09:25:36 2 2 2 2 5170.00 50.00 50...." )

etc etc. I stopped it after it tried importing 2 HHs.

I just have A TON of tournament hands in this database and I really don't want to re-import those and the summaries.

Another question: I have a database from 2007 that I obv don't have to import hands into anymore..will the B10 HUD still be able to read from it?

Yes, you need to create a new DB because some fields have changed and the import routine is different.
I think I read elsewhere Josh saying that in future you may be able to transfer those old tournament summaries across (but don't quote me on that). So if you can't be bothered doing it now, you may be able to do it automatically in the future.

If you do go ahead and create a new database, make sure you change the active databases. Under Import -Auto Import - Preferences - Databases, make sure you change both Import Played nad Import Observed Hands to "Current Active Database". I kept getting the same errors as you did. This corrected it.

Creating a new database wasn't really that much of a hassle. It only took me about a minute to create and I pointed the manual import to my "processed" folder. Hit import and it took about 6 minutes for ~40k hands to import. I changed default and active database first to the new database. But the whole process was pretty easy.
