I created a new database for Beta 10 and exported all of my hands without a hitch.
When I turn on auto-import in tourney mode I get the following error:
PokerStars: Unable to import hand (#17149266076). Reason: Unable to execute query: COPY tourney_holdem_hand_summary FROM STDIN;; Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR: extra data after last expected column CONTEXT: COPY tourney_holdem_hand_summary, line 1: "2997 100 83 2 131 17149266076 2008/05/02 17:32:08 2008/05/02 10:36:38 7 2 2 2 615.00 585.00 585.00 5..." )
I get the same error with Cash games. (thought it was working but that was only file access not the hands.)
the HUD is also inop on both cash and tourney tables

Make sure that your new database is set as both default & active via Database->Database Management.
Also make sure that your active database is set as the database to import hands into via the auto-import window.
Best regards,
Derek

tnx.
It was the auto-import window issue.
It would be really helpful if there was a single check box to switch default DBs for all purposes in the release version. It's really alot to ask users who recreate a database or switch dbs to change it in all of the following locations:
auto-import page
cash game HUD config page
tournament HUD config page
Set as default in DB management page
And set as Active. (this seems the easiest to find and best place to make the system change for everything, perhaps prompt for "make this new default")

Maybe it would make sense to have a "Use Active" checkbox on the HUD Options window, instead of specifying a DB name?

might be easier to implement that solution, I don't know how the app is built but just adding a "use active or use default" option on the HUD pages, the auto-import page and the "set active database" drop down would be a huge improvement from the user's experience and still provide the flexibility that drove the addition of all these options in the first place.

If you clear all the databases in the list, it will always default to use the database(s) being imported into. This is specified in the text under the database list in the Hud Options.

LOL, and I'm always telling people to make sure they've read all the instructions...

Might be a good default setting then. As it currently stands if one changes their primary database it is still a rather large number of options to change.

If you clear all the databases in the Hud Options, it will automatically adjust when you change databases. The Hud Options will always reflect the current databases being used, but if you change them, they will override the default until you clear them again.
