how do i make pt 3 display stats for 1 day

When i try to set the filter to show stats for 1 day, or a specific time period, it displays my stats since the beginning of the year.
I keep pressing clear and trying to set it over and over, but it keeps displaying stats for the entire eyar.
I must be missing something
