I just installed and registered PT3. When I click connect in the Configure PostgreSQL Server I get this error saying "unable to connect to this database. Please check the configuration." How do I fix this?

This is generally a password error. Try the default password of dbpass. If that doesn't work, just disable the password altogether. Also make sure the user is postgres and that the port is 5432. To remove password dependencies altogether, follow the link below:

everything was working fine until i datamined on a large number of tables

getting import error:

Unable to begin feeder import process. Reason: Unable to login to database (PT3_2008_05_16_182325). Reason: server closed the connection unexpectedly This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.

then going into texas holdem tab:

Unable to login to database (xxxx). Reason: server closed the connection unexpectedly. This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.

my database shows up on the list, but it wont display any data at all.

i am using win XP and PT v3 build 2.

Sounds like postgres may not be running. Try Start -> Programs -> Postgres -> Start Service.
Do you see postgres processes in Task Manager?
Try a reboot if not.

Has anyone been able to get past this???. I haven't been able to use PT3 for 4 days. The PostsgreSQL Start Service Reboot hasn't worked for me.
