major lag with HUD (multitabling FT 9max across network)

I'm getting serious lag to the extent that it's unplayable.

Some info:

- I have PT3 running on the computer I'm playing on, but it's accessing my PSQL PT3 db on a separate computer - connected via direct network cables across my LAN.
- The data (on my other computer) is stored on an external HD (7200 rpm) connected via USB.
- I have about 6 stat groups setup (but most only have a single stat) so I can more tightly control placement.
- I'm trying to multitable (ideally 9+) FT 9max, but I can't do over 4 right now without the interface becoming unusable do to lag.

Some questions:
- Is there any caching done by the local PT3/HUD? I could imagine that if the application has to make requests to the database for each individual statistic across the network (and then via USB) that would explain the slow down.

What do you suggest I do? I'm happy to help troubleshoot this to figure out what's going on.

Thanks!
fooz

No, there is no caching yet, this is one of the performance improvements that are on the list to be added.
