Task Manager Processes: 7 Postgres.exe?

Even when pokertracker is closed, I have like 5-8 processes of Postgres.exe running using memory. Is this is a part of poker tracker or something else and are there supposed to be this many of them running even when its not even open.

Postgres does have multiple processes running all the time. I guess if you Start -> Programs -> Postgres -> Stop Service , that would stop them. Maybe a postgres expert will add their 2c.
