PT3 Questions / Add to FAQ?

PT3:

1. How to move a database to second computer for first time?

2. How to move a database to second computer each next time (lets say I play at desktop and than want to move master version to laptop and play there)?

3. How to filter to show only players with chosen minimum number of hands I played against?

4. In General Tab, can I switch Player Summary with Player Statistics or remove player Summary completely? Basically Statictics is enhanced version of Summary so why have both?

5. Why should I always press Refresh in General tab to see newly imported hands? Is it possible it refreshes by itself from time to time?

HUD:

6. Why for some tables stats do not appear or appear after a few hands (Even for players I have a lot of hands with – so min hand filter is not an issue), the problem was when I first opened PT3 today, it worked faster later.

7. Table averages seem to use weighting by number of hands? If yes how to change it to a simple average?

8. How to move HUD layouts from PT3 desktop to PT3 laptop? Or do I have to make them again?

9. In HUD layout what is Type (normal/grid) and what is Padding?

1&2. The simplest way to keep a DB updated on another PC would be to copy the hand histories over and import..
But I suspect you want to hear the answer about how to backup/restore DBs. This option is not yet in PT3, so I'll let one of the postgres experts tell you how to do it..

3. This is not yet possible.
4. Not yet. I think some level of configuration will be added to the tabs at some point.
5. Some auto/timed refresh options will be added.

6. This is a known issue (Build 2 FAQ) and a new build is due out within a few days.
7. Correct, at the moment there is no way to change this, but this has already been requested and (I hope) an option will be added.
8. There is no export yet, but you can copy c:\program files\pokertracker 3\data\layouts.pt3
9. Grid lines stats on multiple rows up in columms, normal just aligns left. Padding is the space between separators and rows.

Edit:
Not possible yet, more layout config options will be added (tournament layouts should be separate).

Ad 1&2. I moved whole database to new computer by export. 250k hands in 40min, so this is good. On the other hand I cant seem to find the option to export only a selected portion of hands... not possible yet?

No, you can't just export selected hands, or a range of hands based on time or person or table or site. Export is currently an all or nothing sort of thing.
