Pokertracker 3 will not open

Im at work and decided to try to connect to psql thru an ssh tunnel, so i downloaded pt3 beta, but after installing it, when i double click the shortcut or exe, nothing happens. The PokerTracker.exe process shows in task manager, but nothing else. This is the log file:

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but same problem.
Im using the version without psql included.

Does it have access to the internet? It might be locking up when it tries to check for an update.

eh yeah it does but it needs to use a proxy, is that possible to do? i didnt realize it wouldnt run without being able to check for an update

It should time out after 5 seconds. I'll have to look at that code again to make sure.

Just to follow up, im now using windows firewall client to forward everything thru the companies firewall, and when its enabled, pt3 opens, but when disabled, pt3 wont. It opens the process but nothing comes up on the screen and the process never closes. Just thought you would like to know.
