PokerTracker

I just downloaded pt3 and when I try to start it, I get the message that a version already is running, I downloaded a earlyer version, sometime ago but that didn´t work, so I thought I give this a try, I uninstalled everything installed the new one, but same reaction, a version already running, I looked in taskmanager and there are nothing running, so now what?

Do you have a firewall blocking PT3 from connecting to check for updates?

same here. but I can find a ptrack.exe in the process list of the task manager

It would be PokerTracker.exe.

the problem occurs when I first start PT and the software is triing to connect to http://www.ptrackerupdate.com and does not get a connection (e.g. when it´s blocked by a proxy server). The Popup window disappears without further notice.

When I try to start PT3 once more it says: A version of PokerTracker is already running.

That explains it. I will try to resolve this problem by not having it lock up when it can't connect.

Same problem here. Hope you can get a fix soon. Or is there a way I can get around it myself? I checked my firewall and it accepts everything from pokertracker.exe

You could try disabling your firewall completely, start PT3, then re-enable it.
