Database backup

Postby riccohb » Sun Mar 28, 2010 6:50 pm

I use an online backup utility which automatically backs up my files when they change. Can you please tell me which folders/files I need to tell it to backup in order to backup my whole database? I have installed with all the default options on Windows 7 32-bit.

I would not recommend using such a feature for the PT3 database - it would cause significant amounts of slowdown as there are many files which are updated constantly while PT3 is running and importing hands.

I would recommend instead upgrading to Beta 30.8 (if you haven't already), and using the File --> Backup mechanism there to backup all of your PT3 information, which you can then backup via your online storage system, and then have it monitor your C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\Processed directory until you make another backup - if you have a backup and that directory at most you would only need to import the files in that directory which were created since the time of the last backup.
