postgreSQL causes Vista to stop at welcome page

I've opened a ticket to describe my problem but I thought I'd post to see if anyone else has had this, as I've not seen it listed anywhere

Basically after Installation, my Vista simply won't start up. It gets to the Welcome page and the blue circle thing just rotates forever rather than desktop appearing.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, followed countless FAQs and posts on here and everytime I install the SQL stuff I get the same problem and have to system restore.

Just to note, that between installation and attempted reboot, everything works just fine, so if I never turned off my computer again I'd be ok!

This is the first we've heard of a problem like this - thank you for creating a ticket for it, we will investigate this issue for you. This is most definitely not normal.
