Postgresql caused computer crash, now it won't run.

Postby mRlz_ » Sun Jun 06, 2010 2:26 pm

My computer crashed during a session with blue screens and all that fun stuff. It seems Postgresql caused the problem and I'm now trying to re-install. I'm asked for a superuser (postgres) and service accoung (postgres) password. I have no idea what this password is supposed to be. I know I've never used anything but the default passwords when installing postgresql so I'm a bit confused. Any ideas?

The default database password for the 'postgres' user is "dbpass" (no quotes), and the service password is "svcPASS83".

If you need further help have a look at the How to reinstall PostgreSQL guide.
